Don't remind me again today

Musk just dropped another hot take on Bitcoin - calling it a "true currency" rooted in energy. His argument? Energy can't be regulated by legislation, which makes BTC fundamentally different from fiat.

This ties back to his long-standing view that Bitcoin's proof-of-work mechanism anchors it to real-world physics. Unlike traditional money that governments can print at will, mining requires actual energy expenditure.

Whether you agree or not, it's an interesting angle on what gives crypto its value proposition. The energy debate isn't going away anytime soon.

This logic from Musk is a bit ridiculous... Energy can also be monopolized, as if energy is so democratic.

I've heard this set of arguments about energy theory several times, but it really hits the nail on the head... the topic of energy consumption is something we can never avoid. --- Musk is rehashing old ideas again; the logic that PoW = real assets is nothing new. --- Energy is unregulated? This guy must not have heard the stories about mining farms and electricity costs. --- Oh, finally someone has clarified this matter; I thought the same way before. --- fiat printing machine go brrrr vs real energy consumption, it's a perfect comparison. --- The problem is that electricity costs are also rising; who can guarantee that energy costs won't be indirectly regulated?

I've heard the theory of energy several times, and each time it feels a bit forced. --- Musk is starting to weave stories again; energy can't be regulated? Come on, why doesn't anyone talk about this when the market is bad? --- Sounds nice, but it's really just an attempt to whitewash PoW Mining. --- It's indeed novel, but that's about it. Where's the real value proposition? --- The energy theory won't last long; next month there will be a new excuse. --- This guy is all over the place with doge and btc; we don't really know what his true thoughts are. --- It feels like he's trying to excuse high energy consumption; uh, it's a bit interesting. --- The argument is good, but can it really avoid regulation? Hehe, thinking too much.

The energy theory is back, this guy is really persistent... But to be fair, the ability to bypass legislation is indeed amazing, fiat can be printed at will.

The energy theory is back again, every time Musk speaks, this has to be stirred up... Forget it, BTC really can't run, and the Mining Rigs can't run either.
