According to Foresight News, the Ethereum Foundation has announced the launch of the 'Trillion-Dollar Security Initiative' aimed at enhancing the security of the Ethereum protocol through funding research, development, and audits.
The project will be initially co-chaired by Fredrik Svantes, Head of Protocol Security, and Josh Stark from the EF management team.
The initiative will support security improvements for key clients, formal verification, fuzz testing, bug bounty programs, and community security education.
The foundation emphasized the importance of ensuring the robustness and attack resistance of the protocol as the Ethereum ecosystem continues to expand.
Funding for the initiative will be provided through the Ethereum Ecosystem Support Program (ESP), encouraging global researchers and developers to participate in the effort.
