Gate News, March 11 — Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin posted on X platform, sharing his views on Gitcoin Grants’ “deep funding” mechanism. Vitalik stated that the mechanism is still ongoing and recently completed a major funding round. He advised developer Devansh Mehta to continue improving this model (including its prediction market version), but to ensure that design details and funding sources are adapted to the needs of a “chaotic era.” Vitalik pointed out that the deep funding model currently has two advantages: it can reflect the principle of selecting the best, avoiding excessive egalitarianism; and it can benefit from artificial intelligence while maintaining human dominance. However, he believes the mechanism still bears a clear “stability era” characteristic — attempting to build a large tool embodying justice principles and gaining societal consensus for funding. Vitalik said we need to consider how to make this mechanism work in a world where such methods are no longer the norm.
