UK Maritime Authority Reports 38 Security Incidents in Arabian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz Over Two Months

Gate News message, April 27 — The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) issued a notice on April 27 reporting 38 security incidents involving vessels in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman between February 28 and April 27, 2026 (UTC).

The incidents comprised 23 attack events, 13 suspicious activities, and 2 hijacking incidents.
