Gate News message, April 21 — Russian President Vladimir Putin stated during a meeting with municipal representatives that a security zone is being progressively established along the border with Ukraine. Putin said Russia will continue advancing this effort until threats to neighboring regions are eliminated.

Putin noted that the situation in Kursk region and other border areas remains severe.
