Gate News message, April 24 — Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Kaatz said on April 23 that Israel’s military is prepared to restart military operations against Iran and is awaiting U.S. approval to “completely eliminate Iran’s regime.” In a video statement, Kaatz said the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are ready for both defensive and offensive actions, with targets already identified.

Kaatz outlined potential military operations including strikes on Iran’s leadership succession, energy and power infrastructure, and economic facilities, which he said would push Iran back into a “dark Stone Age.” The defense minister stated the IDF is prepared to deliver “devastating strikes” on Iran’s “most vulnerable points.”

The remarks came after a special situation assessment meeting held at IDF headquarters, attended by senior military commanders and defense officials, according to Israel’s Channel 12 television.
