Naver Partners with India's TCS to Develop AI and Cloud Services

Gate News message, April 21 — South Korea’s Naver and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services firm, have formed a strategic partnership to build and sell AI and cloud services in India. The agreement was signed during South Korean President Lee Jae Myung’s state visit to India at the Korea-India Business Forum in New Delhi, with Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon and TCS country head Ujjwal Mathur in attendance.

The two companies will develop localized AI applications and cloud services targeting sectors including banking, manufacturing, and retail. The partnership gives Naver a route into India’s large enterprise market as it expands beyond South Korea. Naver has invested 1 trillion Korean won (US$756.8 million) in AI research and development over the past three to four years, with its flagship model HyperCLOVA X supporting Korean and multiple languages. TCS reported US$2.3 billion in annualized AI revenue in FY26 (fiscal year ending March 2026).
