Fold Launches Bitcoin Rewards Program for Employees, Steak 'n Shake First Partner

BTC0,23%

Gate News message, April 24 — Fold, a Bitcoin financial services company, has launched a Bitcoin Rewards Program that allows enterprises to distribute periodic bonuses to employees in Bitcoin. Steak 'n Shake became the first partner, with over 10,000 hourly workers earning $0.21 in Bitcoin per hour worked, with full vesting after two years.

The program is operated by Fold’s Business division, which handles all custody and compliance requirements, enabling traditional enterprises to offer crypto incentives without managing technical infrastructure. This approach eliminates barriers for companies seeking to introduce Bitcoin-based compensation to their workforce.

Fold plans to expand its enterprise offerings to include payroll processing, corporate Bitcoin treasury management, and company card solutions.
