Turkish exchange BtcTurk has been hit by a cyber attack, suspending cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals temporarily.
Odaily Planet Daily News According to the announcement issued by the Turkish cryptocurrency exchange BtcTurk, the platform was attacked by hackers on June 22. This attack affected the balances of some hot wallets for 10 cryptocurrencies, but most of the assets are stored in secure cold wallets. BtcTurk states that its financial strength is sufficient to cover the losses and user assets will not be affected. As a preventive measure, BtcTurk has temporarily suspended all cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals, and the team is conducting a detailed investigation.
