According to DeepFlow TechFlow, on December 5, official sources reported that the blockchain underlying protocol project IOTA announced the integration of the cross-chain interoperability protocol LayerZero and Stargate into its mainnet, supporting smoother asset transfers, messaging, and cross-chain connectivity between 150+ blockchains.
LayerZero’s OFT standard eliminates fragmentation, enhances inter-chain liquidity, and ensures assets can adapt to future standards and integrations, covering a variety of types including TradFi and DeFi. All OFT assets can be bridged between networks supported by LayerZero via the Stargate WebApp, providing a smooth and convenient experience for all users.
With this integration, IOTA further builds an interoperable ecosystem, enabling seamless transfers across multiple blockchain ecosystems. This allows builders and users to participate in a truly unified Web3 ecosystem, accelerating asset flow, promoting developer adoption, and driving growth by increasing multi-chain asset liquidity, thus supporting global trade and finance on a large scale.
Following this integration, the IOTA mainnet will enter a new phase, with multiple new assets to be launched in the future. The first asset to go live is the native token of Cyberperp, CYB. Additionally, a leading stablecoin will soon join the IOTA mainnet ecosystem natively, serving as a trusted medium of exchange and becoming the cornerstone for IOTA’s intercontinental global trade, finance, and supply chain operations.
