American investor and entrepreneur Anthony Pompliano, leading ProCap BTC, announced that they bought 3,724 Bitcoin in just one day. According to the company’s statement, the total value of the purchase is approximately 386.5 million dollars, with an average purchase price of 103,785 dollars.
This major acquisition follows the $1 billion Columbus Circle Capital merger announced on June 23, 2025, and the capital increase exceeding $750 million. As part of the deal, ProCap BTC is planned to trade as a public company under the name ProCap Financial.
ProCap made this purchase as part of the company’s ongoing Bitcoin purchase program. According to the official press release, the rapid conversion of the raised funds to Bitcoin provided instant BTC exposure to stock investors.
As part of the current business strategy, the company plans to continue adding BTC to its balance sheet. Upon completion of the merger, ProCap Financial aims to hold up to 1 billion dollars’ worth of Bitcoin on its balance sheet.
