SEC has announced its new decisions regarding Solana (SOL) and XRP! Bloomberg analysts commented! "Good or Bad?"

Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have received approval in the US, followed by XRP, Solana (SOL).

and many altcoins such as Litecoin (LTC) have applied for a spot ETF.

While there are many altcoin ETF files pending before the SEC, SEC has not approved any ETF application to date.

The SEC, which made a postponement decision regarding applications, has recently delayed its decision on Franklin Templeton’s XRP and Solana ETF.

With this postponement decision, the SEC has requested public comments on the XRP and Solana ETFs proposed by Franklin Templeton.

Accordingly, the SEC has requested the public to comment on the proposed rule changes for the listing of both spot ETFs within the next four weeks.

“The initiation of proceedings does not indicate that the Commission has reached any conclusion regarding any of the issues in question.”

Instead, the Commission requests and encourages relevant individuals to comment on the proposed rule change.

Following the SEC’s move, analysts predict that the agency may start approving altcoin ETFs in early next month.

At this point, Bloomberg analysts James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas stated that the SEC’s postponement decision was not a surprise.

Analysts indicated that Solana ETFs could be approved in the next month or sooner.

Seyffart stated that the likelihood of altcoin ETFs being approved before the end of 2025 has increased.

"I wouldn’t be surprised if we see approvals for Solana ETFs in the next month or sooner. However, I also wouldn’t be surprised if we have to wait until the final decision date in October. The timeline is unknown.

However, at the end of the day, the SEC’s engagement is a good sign.
