Enforcement Action Taken by CFTC Against Former CEO of Voyager

CFTC is ready for enforcement action against former CEO of Voyager The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is considering enforcement action against Stephen Ehrlich, former CEO of a crypto lending firm Voyager’s Digital. CFTC staff are planning to take action against Stephen Ehrlich after an investigation concluded that Ehrlich traded US derivatives products before Voyager Digital filed for bankruptcy according to the report filed on 6 October. The rules were violated. The company had applied for Chapter 11 protection in July 2022 amidst the decline in the crypto market. Voyager is currently in bankruptcy proceedings and is under investigation by the US Federal Trade Commission for deceptive marketing practices related to Cryptocurrency.
