Hello friends, let's review today what an ETF is.

ETF stands for "Exchange-Traded Fund." It is a type of investment fund that is traded on stock exchanges, just like individual stocks. ETFs are designed to track the performance of a specific index, sector, commodity, or a basket of assets. They offer investors an opportunity to diversify their portfolios across a wide range of assets without having to purchase each individual security separately.

ETFs pool together money from multiple investors to invest in a diversified portfolio of assets. This diversification helps reduce risk since losses in one asset can be offset by gains in others.

ETFs typically disclose their holdings daily, allowing investors to know exactly what assets they own within the fund. And also they are traded on stock exchanges throughout the trading day, which means investors can buy or sell shares at market prices whenever the stock market is open. And often have lower expense ratios compared to traditional mutual funds. This is because they usually passively track an index, which requires less active management.

Additionally, ETFs cover a wide range of asset classes, including equities, bonds, commodities, real estate, and more. This allows investors to choose ETFs that align with their investment goals and risk tolerance. Unlike mutual funds, which are priced at the end of each trading day, ETFs can be bought and sold throughout the day at market prices. The market price of an ETF can sometimes trade at a premium or discount to its Net Asset Value (NAV), which is the total value of the fund's underlying assets divided by the number of outstanding shares. ❤️
