News from the Portal, April 15 — Tether's BTC reserve address recently withdrew 951 BTC, worth approximately $70.47 million, from a major CEX exchange. These bitcoins are part of Tether's purchases in Q1 2026, funded by 15% of the company's quarterly profits.


Currently, Tether's BTC reserve address holds a total of 97,141 BTC, valued at around $7.2 billion, making it the fifth-largest BTC wallet in the world. The average purchase cost across the entire holdings is approximately $51,312 per BTC, with an unrealized profit of about $2.175 billion based on current prices.
