Escalation of internal strife within the U.S. Department of War; the Secretary clears potential successor loyalists to prevent a "coup"
Mars Finance news: On April 4, according to the New York Post, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegses has become paranoid out of concern that his position could be replaced by Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, which led to the Army Chief of Staff, General Randy George, being asked to resign immediately. It is understood that George is Driscoll’s senior aide, and Hegses has not publicly explained the reason for the request that he step down. An anonymous official said the move stems from Hegses’s personal insecurity after the 2025 Signalgate incident, at a time when tensions inside the Pentagon are currently intensifying during the Iran war.
