Mantle Essay Contest: Final Day, Currently Ranked 42nd, Last Submission. Not Sure If I Can Move Up Further.
Over the past two weeks, the market has sent clear signals: from OpenClaw to various Agent tools, AI is no longer confined to assisting with chart analysis or writing reports—it's now directly accessing accounts, executing trades, and running strategies.
The question that follows is 👇:
When AI begins directly operating funds, where should its underlying infrastructure be built?
Many are still caught up in competition over large language models and application tools, but these are merely upper-layer capabilities.
What truly determines the industry's next phase lies in who can accommodate AI's execution behaviors, enabling capital flows to have clear pathways, reasonable structures, and comprehensive risk controls.
This is also why I've recently re-examined Mantle.
What it's building is no longer just an ordinary L2 public chain—it's gradually evolving into a more critical role: a liquidity distribution and execution settlement layer.
Connecting the existing ecosystem structure logically makes it very clear:
🔸 Exchanges (funding entry)
🔸 Mantle (settlement and distribution)
🔸 DeFi protocols (yield sources)
🔸 AI Agents (strategy execution)
In the past, these segments were disconnected; now, they're being linked through a complete pathway.
What does this mean? 🤔
Previously, you needed to monitor charts yourself and manually click buttons to execute trades; in the future, the model will likely become:
➣ You only provide instructions
➣ Agents handle automatic execution
➣ Infrastructure like Mantle handles fund flows
Simply put, humans will transform from tedious executors into pure strategists—this is the true watershed between AI and Crypto.
But the practical challenges are equally severe.
Without a stable liquidity settlement layer, no matter how intelligent AI is, it remains theoretical.
Without clear fund pathways, once Agents scale up operations, potential risks could multiply exponentially. Therefore, this round's competitive core is no longer about:
■ Who offers higher APY
■ Who has larger TVL
But rather who can make AI automatic capital allocation execution actually happen.
From this perspective, Mantle's strategic significance becomes entirely different.
It may not be the most hyped narrative in today's market, but it's likely filling the most critical missing piece in the ecosystem's foundation.
---
Finally, I'd like to say ✍️:
If AI is destined to take over part of trading execution, the next wealth opportunity may not lie with whoever is best at formulating strategies, but rather with whoever provides fund pathways that machines can trust long-term and use frequently.
