Solana's Alpenglow: 100x Faster Than Before
The Alpenglow upgrade is the talk of the developer community this week. By replacing "Proof of History" with new components called Votor and Rotor, Solana aims to reduce transaction finality to just 150 milliseconds. Validators have overwhelmingly approved the move (98% in favor), aiming to outpace traditional networks like Visa.
