Qian Zhiming's 60,000 Bitcoin Money Laundering Case to Hold Key Hearing in July; Victims Urged to Submit Additional Materials Quickly

The UK High Court will hold a key hearing in July 2026 regarding Qian Zhiming's case involving 60,000 Bitcoins for money laundering. The core issue is: should claims be handled under Chinese law or UK law?
· If under Chinese law: it is most likely only the principal can be recovered.
· If under UK law: victims may be able to claim the increase in Bitcoin value as well.
Currently, only about 11,300 victims have registered (less than 9% of the total).
Important Dates:
Preliminary registration deadline: May 22, 2026
Additional materials deadline: June 18, 2026
Registered participants need to provide investment amounts, actual losses, and relevant proof; otherwise, they may lose the right to pursue claims.
