The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that Taylor Lindman, former Deputy General Counsel of Chainlink Labs, has joined the SEC as Chief Advisor to the Cryptocurrency Task Force, replacing Michael Selig, who was previously promoted to Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Lindman has worked with Chainlink for over five years, primarily responsible for legal issues related to the oracle network and smart contract data infrastructure. The SEC's Cryptocurrency Task Force, established last year, mainly focuses on regulatory discussions in areas such as encryption and decentralized finance, promoting the development of a legal framework for cryptocurrencies in the United States.
