As of the week ending February 4th, the capacity utilization rate of 92 asphalt refineries in China was 26.2%, a decrease of 1.2% week-on-week. The capacity utilization rate of 77 domestic heavy-duty asphalt companies was 24.5%, down 1.0% week-on-week. The main reason for the decline is that although Sinochem Quanzhou resumed asphalt production this week, some refineries in Northeast China, Shandong, East China, and South China experienced slight reductions in output, leading to a decrease in capacity utilization.
