Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong posted on X saying that if the "cryptocurrency reward ban" ultimately becomes law, it would actually increase the company's profits because Coinbase is currently giving out large rewards to users holding USDC; however, he stated that he does not want the ban to be implemented, believing that allowing users to receive rewards is more beneficial and also helps the US maintain its competitive edge in regulated stablecoins globally.
