The Central Bank of Russia plans to study the creation of a Russian stablecoin

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Vladimir Chistyukhin, the First Deputy Governor of the Russian Central Bank, stated that the Russian Central Bank plans to conduct research on creating a Russian stablecoin pegged to the ruble by 2026. Chistyukhin said that the central bank is not yet ready to decide whether to launch a Russian stablecoin, and this research aims to analyze its advantages and disadvantages and understand the needs of businesses and citizens.
