Over 30 years old, entered the market in 2020, and haven’t made much money so far.
Investing is really difficult, I still have a long way to go. I haven’t been recording my thoughts and ideas consistently, which has led to a lack of a systematic approach.
I plan to organize more data and, in the new year, record what I think and do. I also want to try quantifying my feelings and intuition into data, and record backtests as much as possible. Develop my own investment techniques.
Investment ideas:
Buying stocks is buying companies; buying companies is buying the discounted future cash flows. Tied to the risk-free rate, never buy expensive.
Copying others’ work,
Moutai, Tencent, China Merchants Bank.
Recently realized:
Convertible bonds are the best friends of small investors; they have a floor, no cap on the upside, and include provisions for downward adjustments, naturally friendly to small investors. Of course, current convertible bonds are a bit expensive, but I will participate in them later. Still learning.
