Hang Seng Index expects decline following the fall of American stock exchanges
After the three largest U.S. stock indices showed significant declines, forecasts for the Hong Kong market appear less optimistic. According to Ming Pao, based on the quotes of the Hong Kong ADR index and considering proportional coefficients, the Hang Seng Index is expected to open today with a loss of 86 points, reaching the level of 26,748 points.
The evening close of the previous session already recorded a deeper decline — a drop of 228 points, with the index finishing trading at 26,590 points. Such dynamics indicate continued pressure on Asian stock indices amid weakness in the American markets.
