Affiliated School +1! Guangdong Second Normal University Affiliated Fenxing Middle School Partnership Signing

On February 11, the signing ceremony for the joint construction and management of Fengxing Middle School by Guangdong Second Normal University and the People’s Government of Yangxi County was held at the Yangxi County Government. The school was incorporated into the Yangxi Education Group managed by Guangdong Second Normal University and became an affiliated school of Guangdong Second Normal University, with the names “Guangdong Second Normal University Affiliated Fengxing Middle School” added to both the high school and middle school campuses.

“The ‘Yangxi Model’ has become a new flagship for our province’s ‘County School Revitalization’ and the high-quality, balanced development of county-based basic education.” On-site, Ma Weihua, Party Secretary of Guangdong Second Normal University, stated that since the university’s cooperation with Yangxi to jointly build and manage the Yangxi Education Group in 2024, the “Yangxi Model” was selected as one of the first provincial exemplary cases in the “Double Hundred Action” initiative, and was included among 36 grassroots reform typical cases promoted by the Guangdong Provincial Reform Office to the entire province. It is also the only exemplary case in the education sector. The model was further selected as an outstanding typical case for the 2025 “Double Hundred Action” across the province and has been featured multiple times in briefings by the “Double Hundred Action” working team of the provincial “Hundred Thousand Ten Thousand Project.” He said, “Next, we will fully leverage the advantages of higher education institutions, accelerate the development of Yangxi Education Group and Fengxing Middle School, and promote high-quality development of Yangxi’s education. We aim to enable children in Yangxi to enjoy high-quality educational resources at their doorstep, fulfilling the government’s trust and the people’s expectations.”

Yangxi County Party Secretary Zhang Xiu Jie stated that Fengxing Middle School is a century-old school with profound heritage and a long cultural tradition, having cultivated a large number of outstanding talents through a century of diligent effort and passing the torch from generation to generation. The Yangxi County Party Committee and County Government will create the best environment for cooperative schooling with the greatest sincerity, best service, and strongest support, jointly writing a new chapter of school-local government cooperation and educational win-win. They will also enable Yangxi Education Group to fully leverage its advantages in management, faculty, and curriculum, and to lead and radiate influence, promoting high-quality development of Yangxi’s education.
