Zhipu's large model sparks a collective surge in AI application concepts, but is the enthusiasm fleeting? Detailing Co. hits the daily limit, and Jiecheng Co. drops over 8%

On February 13th, the AI application concept experienced an early rally before consolidating and pulling back. As of the time of reporting, the constituent stock Decai Co., Ltd. (605287.SH) hit the limit down, Jiecheng Co., Ltd. (300182.SZ) fell more than 5%, and Huanrui Century (000892.SZ), Nanxing Co., Ltd. (002757.SZ), Rongxin Culture (301231.SZ), Zhuoyi Information (688258.SH), and others followed suit.

It is reported that on February 12th, Zhipu (02513.HK) launched and open-sourced GLM-5. Zhipu mentioned that starting today, GLM-5 is simultaneously open-sourced on Hugging Face and ModelScope platforms, with model weights licensed under MIT License. The GLM Coding Plan supports mainstream development tools such as Claude Code and OpenCode. Following this announcement, Zhipu’s stock price reached a new high since listing, with a market capitalization surpassing HKD 200 billion.

In addition, besides Zhipu, MiniMax officially launched its new generation text model MiniMax M2.5 on the same day. ByteDance recently released a beta version of its new video generation model Seedance 2.0, which can create cinema-grade videos from text or images, attracting widespread attention. Elon Musk reposted and commented on tweets related to Seedance 2.0 on his social platform X, stating that the development speed of these models is too fast. Zhongyin International analyst Wang Jun said that the breakthroughs achieved by Seedance 2.0 in functionality have significant catalytic implications for AI multimodal applications, especially in video generation. The costs and technical barriers for generating AI dramas and similar content will be greatly reduced, potentially driving better development of the AI application industry chain and benefiting related listed companies.

Furthermore, ByteDance’s Volcano Engine is preliminarily scheduled to release a series of major upgrades for Doubao Large Model on February 14th. The model release includes Doubao Large Model 2.0, the audio and video creation model Seedance 2.0, and the image creation model Seedream 5.0 Lite. With this upgrade, Doubao Large Model 2.0 will be officially launched, with significant improvements in basic model capabilities and enterprise-level agent functions.

Under the impact of multiple positive news, the AI application concept sector surged in the early trading session. However, as this was the last trading day before the Spring Festival, many investors chose to take profits, leading to continued fluctuations and downward adjustments in the sector.
