Abstract generation in progress

Optimism governance has revealed its asset management strategy, confirming the transfer of treasury resources in accordance with the liquid staking proposal. According to disclosed information, the Optimism Collective plans to allocate a significant portion of its reserves to staking operations, enabling greater liquidity and efficiency in yield generation.

Allocation Plan: Strategic Treasury Division

The implementation follows a clearly defined hybrid staking model. Approximately 40% of the treasury assets—equivalent to 6,400 ETH—will be directed to liquid staking protocols operating on the OP Mainnet. This approach allows Optimism to maintain liquidity while actively participating in yield generation through staking derivatives.

The remaining 60% of the treasury funds will be allocated to native staking directly on the Ethereum mainnet, ensuring robust exposure to the base protocol and diversifying the capital allocation strategy.

Implementation and Strategic Objectives

The transfer of 6,400 ETH to the OP Mainnet marks an important step in executing the previously communicated liquid staking plan via the RFP. This action positions Optimism to capture yield opportunities across multiple layers, strengthening the financial autonomy of the Optimism Collective and establishing a more sophisticated treasury management approach focused on value creation.
