Phantom will launch social feature Phantom Chat

Mars Finance reports that on February 10th, Phantom announced the launch of Phantom Chat, positioning it as a new social feature for 2026. On-chain detective ZachXBT warned that this feature could become a new entry point for asset theft and pointed out that Phantom has not yet resolved the “address poisoning” issue, where users may accidentally copy similar addresses and lose assets if they do not filter out spam transaction records. He disclosed that last week, a user lost 35 WBTC as a result.
