Abstract generation in progress

On February 9th, the north and south main towers of the Jingzhou Libu Yangtze River Railway and Highway Bridge, the world’s largest double-deck cable-stayed and suspension collaboration system bridge, were fully topped out. This marks a significant milestone in the bridge’s construction and lays the foundation for the subsequent installation of catwalks and main cables. The Jingzhou Libu Yangtze River Railway and Highway Bridge is approximately 7,900 meters long, integrating high-speed rail, expressway, and urban road functions. While ensuring the smoothness of the 250 km/h high-speed rail tracks, it must also meet the complex collaborative demands of the upper six-lane highway and lower four-lane primary road traffic loads. It is understood that the Jingzhou Libu Yangtze River Railway and Highway Bridge is expected to be connected in May 2027. Once completed, it will play an important role in advancing the construction of a strong transportation nation, improving the backbone road network of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and optimizing the layout of national and Hubei Province’s high-speed rail and highway networks.
