Abstract generation in progress

Recently, the research teams led by Chang Honglong and Jibowen from Northwestern Polytechnical University announced a major breakthrough in their development of a 3D conical carbon-based soft cortical electrode array. They successfully solved key long-standing industry challenges such as brain tissue damage, signal attenuation, and poor biocompatibility. Additionally, they completed the first-ever international space environment technology validation, opening new pathways for clinical translation of brain-machine interfaces and space applications. This achievement demonstrates China’s leading innovative strength in the field of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS). Earlier this year, Elon Musk announced on social media that his brain-machine interface company Neuralink plans to achieve mass production of brain-machine interface devices by 2026. This announcement sparked a surge in the A-share brain-machine interface concept stocks, but soon the sector experienced widespread adjustments. As of the close on February 6, 14 brain-machine interface concept stocks have retreated more than 20% from their peak this year, including Hige Communication, Prite, Xiangyu Medical, Botuo Biotech, and Sanbo Neuroscience.
