Apple has released watchOS 11.6.2, an update that addresses an issue where Apple Watch models were unable to make emergency calls in Australia. This update ensures that users in Australia can now successfully dial emergency services when needed, improving safety and reliability.

IT House February 6 News, Apple has now released watchOS 11.6.2, compatible with Apple Watch Series 6-10, Apple Watch SE (second generation), and Apple Watch Ultra / Ultra 2.

According to the official statement, this update “includes important bug fixes and is recommended for all users.” However, in conjunction with MacRumors’ report yesterday, the official later explained that this system mainly fixes an issue where Apple Watch Series 6/7/8/9/10, SE (second generation), and Ultra / Ultra 2 in Australia might be unable to make emergency calls.

IT House has learned that the watchOS 11.6.2 update will only be pushed to Apple Watches that have not yet upgraded to watchOS 26.
