Startale startup group received $13 million from Sony's fund to develop the Web3 ecosystem
A major Startale group supported by Sony Innovation Fund has secured new funding of $13 million. This investment round, reported by Foresight News, demonstrates increasing interest from traditional tech giants in developing next-generation blockchain projects.
The funds will be used to expand the ecosystem based on distributed ledger technology, focusing on two key areas: entertainment and content related to intellectual property, and the development of artificial intelligence solutions. This indicates the group’s ambition to explore promising segments of the digital economy.
The collaboration between Startale and Sony is not limited to investments. In earlier stages, the companies established a joint venture, Sony Block Solutions Labs, and are developing Soneium — a network based on Ethereum Layer 2. This long-term partnership confirms the project’s significance for the Japanese conglomerate and its readiness to actively develop the Web3 technology sector.
