He previously served as Vice President and Managing Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions department at Morgan Stanley. From 2002 to 2006, he served as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush for Economic Policy and Executive Secretary of the National Economic Council, as well as a member of the President's Financial Markets Working Group.
