This time, things really got out of hand. The blockchain prediction market Polymarket just became the exclusive partner for the 2026 Golden Globe Awards. During the three-hour live broadcast of the awards ceremony, the screen was constantly scrolling with real-time odds for various awards. Frankly, this is the first time an awards ceremony has done something like this.

And the result? Unbelievably accurate. Out of 26 winners, Polymarket hit all of them. CEO Shayne Coplan was so excited that he started bragging on social media—saying this is "the most mainstream prediction market integration in history" and calling it a "super real-time moment." It sounds a bit exaggerated, but the data is right there.

Of course, some people found it uncomfortable. Many viewers complained that the odds windows popping up from time to time during the live broadcast were annoying and ruined the atmosphere of watching the awards. But no matter what, Polymarket has already made its move. Prediction markets, once niche tools for crypto communities, are now being pushed into mainstream entertainment live streams. This trend is unstoppable—more traditional media and major events will follow this approach, and it’s almost a done deal. The entire industry is watching to see who can do this in the most respectable way.

26 correct predictions, this data is a bit scary, there must be an insider Polymarket has really pushed itself to the forefront this time Mainstream entertainment combined with prediction markets, this move is brilliant Odds window rolling throughout, it’s a bit annoying, but this is what the future looks like Shayne, this guy probably is going to get criticized, he's hyping too much Prediction markets are gradually eating into traditional entertainment, the Web3 army is really winning If this wave of cooperation is replicated on a large scale, the entire industry landscape will change Winning the Ballon d'Or with Polymarket, what does that indicate? Traffic secret Hitting all predictions either means the technology is excellent or it’s just outrageous Traditional media follow-up is only a matter of time, just watch
