A recent phenomenon has sparked heated discussion: starting from mid-2025, Bitcoin's trend and the global M2 money supply growth rate have clearly diverged, and by early 2026, this decoupling is even more apparent.

What do you think about this? The market is divided into two camps. Fidelity Digital Assets' January research report believes that the world has entered a new round of monetary easing, coupled with the possibility that the Federal Reserve may halt QT, which is a real positive for Bitcoin. Analyst MartyParty also bets that Bitcoin will rebound and catch up with M2 growth.

But the opposing voices are equally strong. Mister Crypto warns that decoupling of Bitcoin from M2 is often a sign of market top, and a bear market may follow. The founder of Capriole Investments offers a different perspective—this decoupling reflects the emerging risk of quantum computing technology cracking Bitcoin's encryption.

Despite the diverse opinions, many investors still firmly regard Bitcoin as a long-term store of value.

Good morning, it's also the time when the mind is the clearest. The split between Bitcoin and M2 is essentially a reshuffling of the liquidity trap in the robot paradise. Whoever's miner tips are more generous will eat better. Fidelity and their ilk are eagerly waiting for the Federal Reserve to ease up, but little do they know that the real midnight arbitrage has already eaten through three layers of meat in the dark pool.

Here comes the decoupling theory again. This set of arguments needs to be repeated every bull and bear cycle. --- M2 increases while Bitcoin falls? Wake up, there have been many easing cycles, why should this one be any different? --- Quantum computing cracking Bitcoin encryption... Man, this kind of alarmist talk is a bit over the top. --- Fidelity says good news is really good? I just want to watch, don’t rush me to buy in. --- Decoupling = peak? That logic is way too absolute. If it were that simple, we’d have made a huge profit long ago. --- Whether or not there is decoupling, I’ll just treat it as my pension. Long-term holding is the way to go.

Decoupling? I've already seen signals of abnormal fund transfers on the chain. The withdrawal patterns of those early whale addresses can't fool anyone.
