Honestly, the term 'Mining' doesn't feel like it means much anymore. When I see it, my brain just goes straight to GPUs. The whole concept has become so tied to hardware and computational power that the original meaning has basically faded away.

Mining is now synonymous with GPU; nobody remembers its original meaning anymore.

nah this is just semantic drift dressed up as crisis. mining still *works* as an economic primitive—you just got distracted by the gpu arms race and missed the actual governance implications underneath. the real problem is nobody talks about protocol darwinism anymore, just hashrate theater

The term "mining" has long been overused, and now everyone knows it's just about graphics cards.

Mining has long been rendered obsolete. Now, whenever it's mentioned, it's just a game of GPU enthusiasts. What was its original purpose? It has vanished into thin air.
