Recently, everyone on X has been talking about age issues and seeking advice. Coincidentally, I just turned 30 today, and I want to record some of my thoughts.
25 years old was a year when fate pushed me forward. I quit my job as a product manager at a state-owned enterprise in a first-tier city with a monthly salary of over 30,000 yuan. The work was easy, benefits were excellent, working hours were 9 to 6, and I never missed a weekend. In most people's eyes, this was already a dream job.
But why did I leave a job at a state-owned enterprise that everyone envies? I am very clear that if there is no one above me, and I want to improve within the enterprise on my own, the cost I need to pay won't be small. However, if I just want a stable job, in the mind of someone as active as me, days that stretch endlessly are the most tormenting. I hope that every day in the future is a new day, not a repetitive one.
Maybe I am unwilling to stay the same at 35. I grabbed onto investment as a life-saving straw, hoping to achieve freedom of time and space in both finance and life. I am truly grateful for blockchain, which has greatly enhanced my understanding and shown me more possibilities in life. Although uncertain, it is full of hope.
I always believe that life is an experience. Everyone starts with a personal experience card that only they can see. How to live this life, how to check in—it's all up to oneself. All it takes is a little courage to execute.
The main task of a person's life is to consume 3,000 calories a day. Everything else is a side quest, optional. Let’s make life a little more comfortable, regardless of wealth, as long as parents are healthy, and family is happy, peaceful, and harmonious—that's enough. The size of the house or the luxury of the car is meaningless.
Either you choose to move forward yourself, or fate pushes you forward. All choices are neither right nor wrong. I may regret some of my choices, but I will not regret. On the four-dimensional timeline of time, the past and future are predetermined and inevitable. I cannot change them, even if I suddenly muster the courage—perhaps it’s a temporary buff given by the universe.
One-third of my 30,000-day life experience card has already been crossed out. I have already thought about how to spend the future. Doing what I love makes life not a waste. I don’t need to care about everyone else’s opinions. Finding and redeeming my true self—that is life. Wishing myself and everyone else early financial freedom so we can enjoy life.
