The ERC-4626 standard has reshaped the DeFi ecosystem, but it has a fatal flaw—operations must be completed synchronously. This design stifles too much imagination. Think about RWA strategies that require off-chain confirmation, then look at Pendle's PT mechanism, and cross-chain yield aggregation—all of these are constrained by the synchronous execution framework.
Asynchronous execution is the true way out. Superform is deploying the ERC-7540 standard specifically for this purpose—it breaks the chains of synchronization, allowing vaults to handle complex operations that require time. From RWA to cross-chain strategies, from yield optimization to liquidity management, the asynchronous mechanism instantly opens up a whole new world. This is not just a technical upgrade but an evolution of DeFi operational models.

I've long seen that 4626 has issues. Syncing this setup can't handle complex operations like RWA at all. It's really too rigid.

ngl, the ERC-4626 synchronization framework really holds us back, RWA stuff just can't get off the ground
Asynchronous is the future, I like the Superform move 7540, finally someone thought of solving this problem
Wait, does this mean all the previous vault designs need to be rewritten? Will compatibility be a mess again

I have long complained about this pitfall of synchronous execution. RWA bottlenecks are really annoying, and ERC-7540 came just in time.

4626 is indeed a bit of a letdown, but can 7540 really save it? I have a feeling it's just another round of hype speculation.

Finally, someone has spoken out. 4626 is just a semi-finished product, and the RWA part is indeed stuck.

Someone should have said this earlier: 4626 is just a semi-finished product. Now you realize? Asynchronous execution is the way to get creative.

Honestly, the ERC-4626 stuff is just a semi-finished product, forcing synchronization is really brainless. The RWA part has been stifling for a long time.
As for asynchronous, Superform is definitely putting in some thought. It would be great if the 7540 standard could be implemented... but it feels like another unfinished beginning?

I'm already tired of this 4626 trick; asynchronous is the real way to go.

Basically, 4626 is too rigid, and many features are stuck. If 7540 can really be implemented, that would be a real relief.
