Today’s review finally made me understand what "merciless" means in the market.

This morning, I was optimistic about a stock breaking through at the 167 level, with a clear plan—wait for the signal. As a result, I noticed another stock with stronger momentum during the session and impulsively cut my position. The classic reversal happened: the one I didn't sell jumped 5.5%, while the new position I bought reversed and fell below cost.

Losing money is one thing, but what hurt more was the issue exposed during this process: it’s not that I misread the direction, but that I was brainwashed by the "more promising" opportunity. At that moment, I abandoned my original discipline.

After so many years of trading, I finally understand that the market doesn’t care whether you are right or wrong—it specifically punishes those who change their minds impulsively. Operations outside the plan always have the lowest win rate. Having a plan brings consistency, and consistency is what allows you to survive longer.

This is a typical case of FOMO. Watching others rise, I just can't sit still. Discipline is easy to talk about, but once the market is open, I forget everything. I've experienced this many times. The key is, I will make the same mistake again next time.

This is called greed. FOMO causes you to jump into the trap, and undisciplined trading deserves to be harvested.

This is the cost of greed. Even with a plan, you still want to go all in on another one. The market just loves to teach lessons like this.

Another day of being brutally hit by the "more promising" opportunity, really fucking ironic. The market loves to do this—by the time you change your mind, it's already ready with the slaughtering blade.
