happy sunday. sitting on my sofa hungover from too many post-christmas m&ms trying to digest everything going on in ai and tech
no matter how hard i try everything’s pointing to a crazy 2026.
models are now good enough to do a $250k/yr software engineers job (multiple if you run simultaneous agents)
spaceX is gonna ipo at $1 trillion+ and start training AI models in space
robots are finally good enough to go commercial starting with tesla / waymo autonomous robotaxis, tesla humanoid robots
turns out we’re in a ‘memory crisis’ in the wake of DRAM price 5X-ing, guess we were all wrong abt ai capex bubble and nvidia is gonna send it even higher
but competition is here. billions of dollars worth of google tpus, amazon tranium go live next year. samsung fab goes live to compete with tsmc. gigawatt data centers compete to train the best models…
and i haven’t even started on downstream effects of ai models in consumer apps. we’re going to see so many #1 app store ai apps paired with sick consumer hardware products (apple, google and openai all releasing next year)
2025 will be looked back on as the last normal year before all of this couldn’t be ignored by the masses.
incredibly exciting times tbh.
