Trust Wallet confirms that 2596 wallet addresses are affected, with new developments to be announced within the next 24 hours.

According to sources from HashChain, Trust Wallet CEO Eowync.eth updated on X platform about the latest progress regarding the security incident involving browser extension v2.68. The team has confirmed that a total of 2596 wallet addresses are impacted. Currently, approximately 5000 compensation requests have been received, including a large number of duplicate or invalid submissions attempting to claim victim compensation. At present, accurately verifying wallet ownership is the core focus. The team is cross-validating multiple data sources to distinguish genuine victims from malicious submitters. The verification process is progressing in parallel with forensic investigations. Some cases have reached relatively clear conclusions, but the overall process is still ongoing. The team will prioritize accuracy over speed and, while ensuring funds are safely returned to the correct users, will publish further updates as soon as possible. An update is expected within the next 24 hours.
