Ethereum has increased by 0.72% over the past day and is approaching a technical resistance level. However, market signals are somewhat complex—earlier the RSI indicator flashed overbought signals, but the MACD histogram has basically returned to zero, indicating that the upward momentum is gradually waning.

From a capital perspective, there are some interesting points. In the past few hours, there has been a significant net inflow of about $8.5 million, which contrasts sharply with previous capital outflows, indicating that short-term capital inflows and outflows are still quite volatile. But don’t get too optimistic yet; recently, there has been a noticeable net outflow from Ethereum spot ETFs, especially from some leading institutional products, suggesting that institutions might be reducing their positions. Meanwhile, a whale address has sold over 40,000 ETH in one go, roughly equivalent to $118.5 million, signaling considerable selling pressure.

On the fundamental side, there are quite a few bright spots. The upcoming network upgrade focuses on scalability and the implementation of Verkle trees, which will significantly improve network efficiency and address the longstanding issue of state bloat. More importantly, institutional enthusiasm for staking is high—large stakes from BitMine and deep participation from MAVAN confirm this. Over the past three months, the amount of ETH staked has exceeded the amount unstaked for the first time, indicating that more supply is being locked in staking, which is easing selling pressure.

However, risks should also be acknowledged. The proportion of profitable ETH holdings has fallen below 60%, especially since the price failed to hold above $3,000, meaning more holders are underwater, and the network is under some pressure.

From the community’s perspective, retail participation is declining, but large institutions are quietly accumulating and staking ETH. Some believe that Ethereum’s long-term outlook is quietly turning positive, and it may see a more noticeable price performance in early 2026.

Institutions are quietly accumulating, while retail investors are still struggling with 0.72%... I've seen this trick too many times.

Whales are dumping again, institutions are quietly accumulating, retail investors are still debating whether to buy or not... this script is truly incredible.

ngl, all these on-chain metrics require further auditing before taking seriously. whale dumps that size? classic FUD distribution pattern, technically speaking. but here's the thing — the staking inflow reversal actually holds water, statistically improbable to fake at that scale. still, insufficient validation from independent sources. trust but verify, always.

Institutions are secretly accumulating, retail investors are cutting losses, this routine is getting pretty boring --- Whales have sold 118.5 million USD worth of ETH, and us retail investors still have to hold on, truly incredible --- Pledging into the queue exceeds the queue? That's just a temporary relief, not a solution, brother --- They say there won't be performance until 2026, so do I have to hold for another two years? Too difficult --- RSI is overbought, MACD is about to form a death cross, why does this rally feel so fake --- Ethereum ETF shows net outflows, are the major institutions really fleeing --- 60% of the supply is still in loss, this data is indeed a bit scary --- Network upgrade Verkle trees sound good, but can they boost the price? That’s the key --- Retail participation decline is normal, after all, everyone is trapped --- Institutions are enthusiastic about staking? Don’t be silly, they’re just protecting their own interests

The whale has sold again, but institutions are quietly staking. This is just ridiculous. --- So, RSI is overbought but MACD is returning to zero. Is this rally a bit fake? --- Wait, is the staking inflow first surpassing the outflow? That’s the real signal, regardless of short-term fluctuations. --- 60% are already losing money, and they’re still talking about technicals. I dare not look further. --- Will it turn around in 2026? I’m afraid I can’t wait that long, but indeed, institutional operations are hard to see through. --- Retail investors are leaving, and institutions are coming in. Isn’t this the beginning of a story signal? --- A whale dropped $118.5 million, so who dares to take it? --- Don’t be fooled by the hype of upgrades; it’s crucial to see if staking can truly ease selling pressure. --- Funds are flowing in and out, and it feels like players are testing the bottom line.

Whale cashes out 118.5 million dollars, this pace is a bit rapid Can we still trust ETH? Institutions are staking while we are cutting losses Saying it will take off in early 2026, but it feels like just another big talk Staking to join the queue and only entering after surpassing the queue is the real signal Less than 60% profit... sounds uncomfortable This rebound feels like it's about to fail, MACD has already returned to zero Institutions are reducing positions while retail investors are exiting, a typical case where big players take all the good opportunities Still need to wait for the upgrade, otherwise there’s no good reason to buy in
