Solana privacy protocol runs $120 million in 100 days, with a single-day peak reaching $4 million

[Crypto World] A protocol dedicated to privacy transfers has emerged on Solana—Privacy Cash, which uses zero-knowledge proof technology to encrypt SOL transactions. It launched at the end of August last year, and in less than 100 days, over 680,000 SOL have been processed, which is roughly $121 million at current prices.

At its peak, daily volume reached 32,500 SOL, equivalent to over $4 million. Now, it stabilizes at around $12.3 million per week. The user profile is quite clear: more than 17,000 wallets have contributed over 60,000 transactions, with the main funds concentrated in the $100–$1,000 range—clearly retail-driven, but with high frequency.

The protocol itself has earned $240,000 in fees. In November last year, they began testing private USDC transfers; currently, the TVL is just over $620,000, so the scale isn’t huge yet. However, judging by the growth curve, there is indeed a group of users on Solana seeking privacy transaction solutions—there is clear demand in this sector.

The data looks impressive, but here's the question—are so many retail investors flocking to private transfers really just doing it for "privacy"? Ironically, the places that value privacy the most tend to be the most crowded. History shows that every time there's a surge in this kind of demand, regulations tighten up as well. A steady weekly traffic of 12.3 million is solid—no hype, no shade—but USDC's TVL is only 620,000? That's quite a gap.

A privacy protocol can reach a volume of 120 million, which shows that the market really desires this... With such a high frequency from retail investors, it seems like everyone is afraid of having their wallet addresses seen.

120 million in 100 days, this growth rate is a bit outrageous, is the privacy track really so popular?

The privacy sector is really taking off. Privacy Cash's data growth is pretty impressive—$120 million in 100 days might just reshape the Solana ecosystem.
