Have you ever wondered whether that so-called "Truth Oracle" project on the Sui chain is actually reliable?

To put it simply, an oracle does one thing—it brings real-world data (like price fluctuations, weather conditions, or game results) onto smart contracts. It sounds simple, but in reality, this thing is the data faucet for the entire Web3 world.

But here’s the problem: fake news is everywhere these days, and if an oracle is tampered with, it could crash the entire market. Many current oracles still have obvious shortcomings, which means a lot of applications simply can't be truly implemented. So whether these kinds of "truth" projects can solve the old problems is still very much in question.

To put it simply, an oracle is just a data intermediary. If someone tampers with it, it's game over—any so-called truth project becomes meaningless.

An oracle, simply put, is a data source. If it gets manipulated even once, the market is done for. No matter how much that project on Sui hypes itself up, it can't withstand a major manipulation.

Oracles, to be honest, are just a single point of failure nightmare—whoever trusts them will get burned. Truth? Ha, data can be faked, and you want to talk to me about truth. Another new project on Sui? I can only laugh—let’s see how the newbies get fleeced this time. The problem with oracles isn’t technical at all; it’s a problem with human nature, and no one can solve it. I’ve seen too many of these so-called “revolutionary” projects—they all end up shutting down or running away, without exception.

There are too many pitfalls with oracles; honestly, it’s not uncommon to see projects that have been tampered with.

Oracles are basically just middlemen; the key issue is who controls the data source. That project on Sui has a lot of hype, but can it really withstand attacks? I have my doubts.
