On December 8, #数字货币市场洞察 , BTC experienced a textbook roller-coaster market.

First, it plunged to $87,800, wiping out the long contract holders, then quickly rebounded to $91,700, liquidating the shorts, and continued to fluctuate around the $90,000 level. This morning, it hovered near $91,000 again. The total liquidation amount across the network in 24 hours soared to $350 million—calling this volatility "mild consolidation" would be self-deception.

Why is the market so indecisive? It all boils down to one word: waiting. Waiting for the outcome of the Federal Reserve's interest rate meeting on December 10.

Currently, Wall Street is betting with an 87% probability on a 25 basis point rate cut, which should be good news. But the problem is, there are internal disagreements within the Fed regarding rate cuts. Additionally, institutions are looking to recall funds for year-end accounting, and expectations of tightening liquidity are making bulls hesitant to charge ahead. As a result, the price is stuck in a tug-of-war between the $87,000 and $92,000 range.

From a technical perspective, $91,500–$92,000 is a clear resistance zone; only a breakout above this can open up a move towards $93,000–$94,000. On the downside, support first lies at $89,000–$89,500, with a strong support zone at $87,500–$88,000 below that. The 4-hour Bollinger Bands are narrowing and flattening out, MACD momentum is weak, so in the short term, the market is likely to continue range-bound trading.

Recommended trading strategy: sell high and buy low. Consider light short positions in the $92,300–$93,300 range with a stop loss at $93,800; try long positions at $87,300–$88,300 but set a 1,000-point stop loss, and take profits promptly at resistance levels—don’t be greedy. Remember, in a choppy market, surviving is more important than making big money. $BTC

It's another textbook-level massacre. I went long at 88k and now my head is buzzing. The technicals do show support there, but it feels like it could break any second... I always set my stop loss too tight.
