The incentive distribution for participants in a certain Web3 project's reward program is a hot topic. Looking at the breakdown of rewards, the design is pretty serious 👇
🥇 Top receives $20,000 🥈 2nd place gets $15,000 🥉 3rd–5th place each receive $12,500 ◾︎ 6th–10th place each get $7,500 ◾︎ 11th–20th place each get $3,500 ◾︎ 21st–50th place each receive $1,250 ◾︎ 51st–100th place each get $600 ◾︎ Even 101st–250th place each receive $150
The interesting point is that the system distributes rewards not just to the top ranks but across a wide range of participants. I wonder how much the total amount will be 🤔

This reward structure is indeed spread out quite a bit; it seems like they want more people to participate rather than just freeload.

You can still make ends meet with $150, this distribution really is something.

Wow, this design is really impressive. All 251 spots have a guaranteed minimum of $150, unlike some projects with vampire modes at the top.

Haha, this design is actually quite balanced, not the usual winner-takes-all approach.
This way, even the median participant can get a few hundred, at least it won't feel too discouraging.
By the way, everyone within the top 250 gets a share... How big is the total prize pool? Is the project team really spending money or just giving out tokens?

This allocation plan looks pretty balanced, but why does it feel like the project team is doing disguised fundraising... All 250 participants get a share, so how big is the total pool? Is there really that much real money involved, or is this just another round of tricky forks?

Wait, that can't be right. Only $150 for ranks 101-250? Can that even cover the gas fees? Feels a bit iffy.
