there's way too many ai replies on twitter & word on the street is the reply guy meta is ded (it def isn't)

'reply guying' now means using ai to write stupid ass replies or spamming the same generic one word replies like “gm”, “nice” etc

here's what i do (hope it helps):

> be me
> come across a tweet that i have literally no idea about it
> try to build knowledge on that particular topic by using ai to do a little research
> form an opinion on that topic based on my findings
> drop an insightful/nuanced/funny take on the topic

most people skip this part and jump straight to “give me a reply that sounds smart/funny”

others refuse to put their brains to work and actually reason/think smh

they want speed & want to look smart w/ zero effort

now why does this work?

> you can actually learn new stuff
> people will see you as a smart account
> you make the internet a tad better with less slop
> you no longer appear under the 'probable spam' section
> you get more follow backs without begging for it

it’s how you move from “reply guy” to “oh, this guy always drops value when they show up”
