Don't remind me again today

Recently, I browsed through the market rankings and noticed an interesting phenomenon—the top gainers and losers are dominated by the batch of coins that a certain leading exchange recently listed.

All the market's hot money and attention are now almost entirely focused on these new faces. Double-digit price swings are common and quite thrilling. In contrast, those old coins that have weathered several bull and bear cycles? Except for a few that can still stir up some action, most have completely flatlined; their prices are as steady as retirement assets, so calm it makes you wonder if the market has forgotten about them.

It seems that this market is all about "favoring the new and abandoning the old."

New coins are all scams, right? I’ll bet five bucks the next round will end in a mess again. Old coins lying flat are the real stability. You guys chase the highs, I’ll just watch the show. This wave of hot money gets milked round after round, the taste in this market is really something. Wait, who’s actually pushing these new coins? Feels like it’s all just one big scheme. Honestly, compared to doubling, I’m more afraid of going straight to zero. New coins really feel like gambling. Hey, with those old coins just "chilling" there, maybe it’s time to buy the dip? A batch of new coins just came out and then another batch—this market is all about hype.

New coins are just ATMs for exchanges; after a wave of dumping, they go cold. If old coins are still moving, it means someone really believes in them. This cycle is all about a gambling mentality—excitement > fundamentals. Anything stable doesn’t last long in the crypto world, seriously. Once the novelty wears off, these coins will go flat too. It’s a never-ending cycle.

The new coin rally was indeed fierce, but the pitfalls were deep too. As soon as new coins go live on exchanges, hot money rushes in—veteran players all know this routine, it's just a matter of who gets out first. Old tokens lying flat are in a tough spot, but it's understandable—after all, those who've been through wild price swings are already numb to it. This round of "favoring the new and abandoning the old" might not last; one of these days, we could end up going back to buy the old names at the bottom.
