Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat and president of BitMine, has announced new predictions after recently abandoning his $250,000 Bitcoin forecast for the end of 2025.
At the Blockchain Week 2025 event held by a leading exchange in Dubai, Tom Lee once again raised his price expectations for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
He stated that the crypto supercycle is still in effect and believes that the recent drop and rebound actually contain even greater upside potential.
Based on this, he predicts Bitcoin could reach $300,000 and Ethereum could reach $62,000.
"The crypto supercycle is still in effect.
Bitcoin could reach $300,000 next year, while Ethereum could reach $62,000."
Tom Lee pointed out that in the past 10 years, Bitcoin has grown 112 times and Ethereum nearly 500 times. Despite such growth, he believes Ethereum’s growth is actually just beginning.
“In the past 10 years, Bitcoin has grown 112 times and Ethereum nearly 500 times, but this is not the end, it’s just the beginning. When Wall Street fully embraces tokenization, the next 10 years will be much bigger for ETH and the crypto market.”
Tom Lee described the recent price correction as a wave of inexplicable sell-offs. He said that although the correction looks like a crypto winter, the fundamentals indicate otherwise.
He referenced the crash after the FTX bankruptcy, stating: “When FTX collapsed in the past, it took market makers 8 weeks to recover. It’s no different now; the timing is similar.”
Tom Lee described Ethereum as “the payment gateway for the future of finance” and argued that Ethereum is the only smart contract platform where tokenization will really take off.
“We previously reduced our Ethereum purchases, but are now actively increasing them,” Tom Lee said. He recently noted that Ethereum is severely undervalued.
